Race Against Waste has been working with Wecycle, the national collection system for discarded electrical appliances, lamps, and batteries, for many years. Wecycle is part of Stichting OPEN and organizes responsible e-waste collection in the Netherlands. Thanks to this collaboration, we can organize E-waste Races throughout the country and thus increase our positive impact.

Wecycle wants to make as many people as possible aware of the importance of recycling and reducing e-waste and actively involve them in collection. They do this not only through well-known television and radio commercials, but also by supporting the E-waste Race. During the races, we familiarize students and local residents with the collection points in their area. Devices that are handed in at the right place earn points during the competition, combining education and activation.

Through their network of collection points and efficient processing, Wecycle and Race Against Waste ensure that collected devices are safely reused or recycled and valuable materials can be reused. In this way, we contribute to a circular economy and raise awareness among the new generation about the value of our belongings.
